Demi Lovato Has a Bright Pink Pixie Now

Demi Lovato just debuted a bright pink pixie cut. 

The pop star, who first unveiled her short (blond) pixie back in November, is now in the mood for pastels. On January 10 she posted a short video to Instagram of herself feeling the new look, making sure to tag her hairstylist, Amber Maynard Bolt. She also changed her avi on Instagram to a selfie with the pink hair, so it’s safe to say she’s loving it. 

And so are her fans and celebrity friends, like model Iskra Lawrence, who wrote in the comments, “Well we already knew but just to confirm...Can pull anything off 🔥🔥🔥.” Meanwhile, actor Sean Hayes added, “Super duper cute!!! ❤️.”

Lovato’s hardly the first star to think pink. At various times, Hilary Duff, Ashley Tisdale, Ashley Benson, Busy Philipps, and Kylie Jenner have all experimented with rose-colored hair. 

When Lovato first posted her blond pixie last year, Bolt revealed the formula she used to get the color. No such luck this time around—but if you’re looking to re-create pink hair at home, here are seven things to know before trying. 

Demi Lovato may be playing around with her hair, but she’s not playing around with politics. She’s been posting regularly about the Capitol riot and echoing calls for Vice President Mike Pence and the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Donald Trump from office. “We all must come together condemning the mob that stormed the Capitol this [sic] this week. Donald Trump incited violence against our democratically elected officials and is unfit to lead this country. @vp please invoke the 25th amendment + congress please move forward with impeachment. We must protect the future of our democracy,” she wrote. Lovato also added on January 6 she’s “in the studio working on something special after today’s assault on democracy.”
