Delaware State Fair, Powwow, southern Delaware music and beach updates: Weekend Guide

There is no better time to make the most of what's left of summer than hitting the Delaware State Fair.

And that's just one suggestion we have for your weekend.

The forecast for Saturday in the Wilmington region is a high of 85 degrees, a break from previous hot stretches, and partly sunny with only a 4% chance of rain, so indulge in some outdoor fun.

If you do want to relax at home, the Phillies play the Guardians on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. And Sunday evening is the kickoff of Shark Week. We have your viewing schedule plus fun things to do to celebrate throughout the region.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will cast a spell on boredom when they come downstate. The band, famous for celebrating jazz and swing, has performed for over 30 years. This includes gracing the stage at Super Bowl XXXIII. Some of their notable tunes include "Why Me?," "Diga Diga Do" and "Save My Soul." While Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's name may sound eerie, it comes from an autograph written by blues legend Albert Collins.
