Deion Sanders, the former pro athlete and subject of the documentary series Coach Prime, has recently split from his fiancée. Tracey Edmonds. The couple announced the end of their relationship in a joint statement on Instagram, in which they affirmed that they are parting ways on good terms and plan to remain friends.

"To EVERYONE who has been there for us, supported us, and shown us love...We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we've shared together," they wrote. "Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Thank you for being there for us ALL THESE YEARS! We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH!"

Edmonds is a TV producer, and the CEO and president of the production company Edmonds Entertainment. Her career in film and TV spans 25 years and includes several well-known projects including Soul Food, Josie & The Pussycats, and Good Luck Chuck. She served as executive producer on the reality show Deion's Family Playbook, which followed her and Sanders' life together and ran for three seasons from 2014 to 2015. She also had a stint in front of the camera, earning an Emmy for her time on Extra alongside Mario Lopez.

In the aftermath of her and Sanders' shared announcement, Edmonds has since expanded on the breakup on her social media.

"I want to clarify that it was my decision to end the relationship, despite any different narratives being presented," she said. "I've chosen to prioritize myself and my family, moving forward towards a future where I am valued, treated with honesty, and free to embrace the happiness and respect I deserve."
