While some of us (me) were out here hanging up Tiger Beat posters of Zac Efron as teens, others (Kelsea Ballerini) were out here having their first meetings with music labels. So it's no wonder the singer wound up signing her first record deal with Black River Entertainment back in 2014 at the tender age of 19.

Almost immediately, Kelsea hit the ground running in her career, and that same year her debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It” peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, making it the first number 1 song from a female country artist to hold that title since Carrie Underwood’s iconic banger “Jesus Take the Wheel” nine years (!!) earlier. Fast-forward to now, and Kelsea has released a slew of other projects, gone on tour (which she needed to extend due to demand...but more on that later), and appeared as a judge on The Voice. And all those opps mean major $$$ coming in, which begs the question: What's our girl Kelsea's net worth?!?! Let's dig into it.

But first: A reminder that things weren't always so east for the celeb, who has opened up about the not-so-glamorous parts of her journey, including one bad experience during a record label meeting when she was first starting out. “I walked in, and I had my big, pink, sparkly guitar case. I could barely play guitar, but I played him a song that I had written, and (the label guy) looked at me and said, 'There's already a Taylor Swift. That slot's taken,'” Kelsea said during an interview with the Chicago Tribune back in 2016. “It broke my heart, because I was 14 years old. I was super starry-eyed, but it was such a good lesson to learn early on. He was right...It was the first time I realized I had to dig into myself, and figure out what I wanted to say.”

But that was then! These days, Kelsea is out here living it up as a famous musician, dating that guy you've been manifesting for at least a year aka Chase Stokes, and making money...tons of money. Here’s a breakdown of the singer's assets to make you equal parts impressed, jealous, and weepy.

Kelsea makes music the people wanna hear

Kelsea's music does NUMBERS. Like, in 2015, her debut studio album The First Time peaked at number 4 on the U.S. Country Music album chart *and* three of the songs— “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Peter Pan,” and “Dibs”—reached number 1 on Billboard‘s U.S. Country Airplay charts, making her the first woman to top multiple country charts at the same time.

The singer followed up with her second studio album, Unapologetically, which came out in November 2017. It's first single “Legends” became Kelsea's fourth number 1 on the Country Airplay chart, while another song on it, “Miss Me More,” actually catapulted the celeb to full-fledged crossover status by getting tons of air time on pop radio stations.

Kelsea's eponymous third album, which came out in March 2020, generated even more certified bangers including “Homecoming Queen?” “The Other Girl,” and “Half of My Hometown.” But it was the following summer, aka when the star released a single with LANY you maaaaaay or may not have heard of (hint: you have) called “I Quit Drinking,” that helped her cement her status as a bona fide pop star.

More recently, Kelsea gave us quite possibly the best Valentine's Day treat ever with the release of her latest EP Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, which chronicled her divorce from fellow country artist Morgan Evans. “These are six songs I wish I had last year,” Kelsea shared in a statement tied to its debut. “It’s about the complexities of the feelings you go through during a massive shift at a young age...Rolling Up the Welcome Mat was how I processed everything. It’s the way I got my feelings out of my body and heart and put them to music—which is the purest way I could’ve handled it.”

It's unclear how much $$$ Rolling Up the Welcome Mat has made Kelsea so far, but considering the large amount of support she garnered for it, it's def not nothing.

Her touring numbers are iconic

During her career Kelsea has been the opener for major acts, including Rascal Flatts, Lady A, Thomas Rhett, Dan + Shay, and Keith Urban, and when it comes to her own tours, the singer totally crushes it. As in, her Heartfirst tour back in September 2022 (still salty I couldn't get tickets for it, NBD) was so successful that she added an entire second leg to it in March 2023.

“WELL THIS ESCALATED QUICKLY,” the celeb gushed on Instagram after a slew of second-leg tours quickly sold out. “As if i couldn’t have been more excited to get back on the road…you’re selling these out already?! ok brb going to make the show extra special now.”

Kelsea has also previously opened up about how much she loves touring and how connected she feels to the audience when she sings certain songs. When asked by GQ U.K. which song she was most excited to sing on this tour, she gushed, “‘If You Go Down I’m Going Down Too,’ because it’s where I beg the crowd to be unhinged with me. When I sing the line, ‘Hypothetically, do you ever kill your husband?,’ we just go feral and it's so much fun.” Now excuse me while I go look at old TikTok vids of her performance of it for the 500th time 😭😭😭.

The Voice pays her the big bucks

The singer joined the show's 15th season as a judge in 2018 and then returned yet again three years later in 2021 as a substitute when fellow artist Kelly Clarkson was out sick.

It's not public how much Kelsea made from the gig, but we can def guesstimate based on some numbers we do know, including the fact that the median salary for being a coach on The Voice is $25.5 million. However, that's on the tippity top end of the spectrum, with other coaches reportedly making something closer to the $2 million mark for their first seasons. Me, personally? I'm good with like 1/100 of $2 million, so color me impressed!

So what is Kelsea Ballerini's net worth, in total?

Oh, just a whopping $6 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
