It's officially The Summer I Turned Pretty szn, and to say we're excited about the second installment of the hit show is a serious understatement. Once again, we'll get the chance to revisit all of the incredible (yet totally messy) summer romances at Cousins Beach and see the old (and new) faces that bring the iconic Jenny Han script to life on our screens.
And speaking of the show's characters...you'll be pleased to know a lot of them really don't deviate too far from the people they play on-screen when it comes to their ages...for the most part. Ahead, an in-depth look at all the age gaps between the Summer I Turned Pretty actors and their series counterparts. Enjoy!
Lola Tung as Isabel "Belly" Conklin

Age IRL: 20
The Summer I Turned Pretty's protagonist, Lola Tung, is 20 years old IRL and was actually a freshman studying at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when she auditioned for (and landed!!) the role of Belly. I-con-ic!
Sean Kaufman as Steven Conklin
Age on the show: 17 or 18
Age IRL: 23
Unfort, Steven's exact age on the show isn't quite known. However, we *do* know he's Belly's older brother and his character was born between 2004 and 2005, making him around 17 or 18. Steven, on the other hand, is a Cancer king with a June 2000 birthday.
Gavin Casalegno as Jeremiah Fisher

Jeremiah is about the same age as Belly on The Summer I Turned Pretty; But according to the internet, the actor is 23 years old, which makes him sliiiiiightly older than his love interest on the show. The more ya know!
Christopher Briney as Conrad Fisher

Age IRL: 25
Conrad plays Jeremiah’s older brother, who Belly has a crush on until...well, until *frantically waves hands in air* everything gets complicated. IRL, Christopher is actually 25 years old and graduated from Pace University in New York City in 2020.
Jackie Chung as Laurel Conklin
Age on the show: 46 to 50
Age IRL: 62
L-O-V-E the fact that Jackie's actual 62nd bday is right around the season 2 premiere of The Summer I Turned Pretty! On the show, Belly and Steven's mom's age is a bit more unclear, with her fandom page saying that she's between 46 and 50.
Rachel Blanchard as Susannah "Beck" Fisher
Age on the show: 46 to 50
Age IRL: 47
Sadly, not much is known about Susannah's age on The Summer I Turned Pretty, but (!) given that she's been Laurel's BFF for what seems to be a lifetime, we're going to say the duo is likely around the same age. Rachel, for her part, is actually 47 years old *puts on best Love Island British accent* in the outside world.
Alfredo Narciso as Cleveland Castillo

Age IRL: 50
Though Alfredo's character's age on the show isn't certain, what we're definitely sure of is that we love him and Laurel together. 🥺❤️
Rain Spencer as Taylor Jewel
Age on the show: 16
Age IRL: 24
Belly and her lifelong best friend Taylor may share the same age on the show, but they truly could not be more different. We j'adore seeing their 'ship play out on-screen, but outside the project they're actually four years apart, with Rain reportedly being around 24.
Elsie Fisher as Skye

Age IRL: 20
The actor is a fresh new face on the series and is set to play Jeremiah and Conrad's cousin in an exciting role. Elsie is 20 years old in real life, making them just a tad older than the teenager they portray on-screen.
Kyra Sedgwick as Aunt Julia

Krya plays Aunt Julia, Skye's mother and Susannah’s half-sister who has never been super tight with the Cousins Beach crew. Krya is an iconic Hollywood legend and is 57 years old, and though we don't know her character's age, we know she means business this season in her new role.
David Iacono as Cam

This Gemini icon was born in June 2002, making him 21 years old. But in the world of The Summer I Turned Pretty, he and Belly met at a Latin summer program when they were in 7th grade, making them both the same age.
Minnie Mills as Shayla
Age on the show: 16
Age IRL: 21
Minnie is 16 years old on the show and is even a debutante alongside Belly. However, she also has another connection to the Conklin family as Steven's girlfriend! In reality, Minnie is still a student at Columbia University and is set to graduate in 2024, making her around ~21 years old atm.
Summer Madison as Nicole
Age on the show: Unknown
Age IRL: 24
Nicole plays a debutante sister and older mentor to Belly, making her just a few years older than 16 in the show. Off-screen, Summer actually just celebrated her birthday a few days ago, making her officially 24. Also, side note: we're loving all of the cast love on her bday post.
