Deer Smashes Through Window of Tennessee Restaurant and Diners Are Shook

It was evening dinner service at a Martin, Tennessee restaurant when diners’ nights took a turn for the worse. As a family sat inside at one of the tables, a deer came flying through the window—just barely missing a teenage girl’s head.

Security camera footage shows the shattered glass bursting around the girl as the deer flies into the restaurant. Dazed and confused, the deer got back up and began heading toward the bar.

The bartender ran from the deer as he invaded behind the bar, but she never put her pitchers down! Talk about customer service. Another staff member spotted the deer and opened up the side door for him to leave. After that, the deer made a swift exit, leaving the restaurant in absolute shambles.

The teenager sitting by the window was rushed to the hospital and needed 11 stitches after the incident. Luckily, no one else was injured during the situation.

Despite efforts, deer sometimes end up making their way through glass windows or doors, causing utter hysteria if people are inside. It can cause a lot of injuries, as seen in the Tennessee restaurant incident. If that teen had been sitting any more over to the left, she probably would have been really hurt.

We can only imagine how scary this must have been for the deer involved. Something must have spooked him to cause him to go bolting into the window like that. Deer can be really strong, especially when there’s something chasing them or something startles them.

This deer probably managed to get a few scrapes from the glass that shattered around him when he burst through the window. But as he was walking around the bar, he seemed unscathed. He was probably running on pure adrenaline at that point.

When the deer sauntered out, he seemed to be ready to leave that place.
