Deer and Bunny Having ‘Bambi and Thumper’ Moment Brings All the Disney Vibes

"Once upon an adorable day in Oregon..." That's how The Weather Channel started this video that they shared on Tuesday, May 14th of a deer and rabbit bringing the Disney movie 'Bambi' to real life! The video is absolutely adorable, and I bet you'll watch it more than once.

Christopher Cody Everetts captured the interaction in his backyard in Coos Bay. The deer approaches the rabbit, and instead of hopping away, the rabbit stays to play, just like Bambi and Thumper do in the movie. It's the cutest thing you'll see today!

How lucky was the homeowner to have even seen the moment let alone record it for all of us to enjoy! The Weather Channel commenter @jul22 felt the same way, "That's the most adorable thing I have seen in a long time! So glad you caught it on camera!"

Everybody thought the interaction was adorable except @Adobe acrabat, "They are low key fighting." I'm not so sure about that, though. The deer was clearly curious about the rabbit. We have a pet rabbit and I know that if the rabbit in the video was scared, it would've immediately run off. I wonder how long the rabbit and deer hung out for, and if they decided to stay in touch!

Unexpected Animal Friendships

This real-life Thumper and Bambi moment isn't the first time that two unlikely animals formed a friendship. You've heard the term "fighting like cats and dogs", but this Golden Retriever and orange cat are the definition of besties.

This cat's best friend is a bearded dragon, another friendship between two unlikely animals! This Great Dane wanted to play with a frog he found in the pool, and it seemed that the frog was open to the idea. And watch as this giraffe at a safari park in Louisianna was curious when a deer ran up to greet him. A dog on a hike with his human immediately bonded with a deer along the trail in this sweet video.

Deer must be curious creatures because this woman found her husband bonding with a deer in their backyard in the most adorable way possible! We have deer that roam through our yard, and this is about the time of year we start to see them. I'm excited to see how our puppy interacts with them when she sees them - I'm guessing what's going to happen is that she scares them away.

UntamedAnimals.com explained that there are some animals that actually form lifelong friendships, can you guess what they are? Dogs didn't make the list, but dolphins, horses, elephants, bats, chimpanzees, and cows all top the list. It was surprising that dogs weren't on the list at all since we all know that they definitely make friends with other animals!
