Bollywood icons Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have already had one of the year’s most fashionable weddings, but why stop there? Fresh from their nuptials last week in Lake Como, the pair headed back to India for a reception at Bengaluru’s Leela Palace. After wearing a wealth of elegant custom looks for both their Italian ceremonies, DeepVeer has continued to up the ante with ornate pieces filled with detail. A pitstop at their home in Mumbai meant a his and hers take on crimson and cream with Padukone in a dramatic silk dupatta and Singh sporting a matching waistcoat that featured an elephant print. Ideal for their first media meet-up as husband and wife, their outfits presented a united front as they greeted the throngs of reporters and fans who waited to catch a glimpse of the new husband and wife.

For the reception itself, they went with another set of stunning outfits. Padukone appeared in a gilded saree created by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the Indian designer who dressed her for both of their Italian events. A gift from her mother Ujjala, the piece was imbued with sentimental value, and she embellished it with an emerald collar and oversize earrings. In a richly embroidered Rohit Bal bandhgala, Singh complemented his leading lady while proving himself a fashion plate in his own right. Together they made for a stunning photo opp and an example for well-dressed couples everywhere.
