Meet Cordovan Brown, the brand's first-ever exterior stain color of the year. A classic, dark brown shade, this stain is perfect for your next deck makeover.

The hue is a timeless choice for decks and steps thanks to its versatility, said Jodi Allen, the global chief marketing officer at Behr, in a statement. And since the stain works across several design styles, it takes the guesswork out of picking the right one. "Our goal is to make the color selection process easier, so projects can get done quicker," said Allen. "Announcing our first-ever exterior stain color of the year diversifies our color trend forecasting and delivers on the color leadership consumers can expect from Behr."

When it comes to your home, wood stains are just as important as paint, said Erika Woelfel, vice president of color and creative services at Behr.
