These Dearfoam Slippers Are What Lacey Chabert is Gifting Her Whole Family This Year

We can all agree that 2020 has been the year to lean into comfort, in whatever that looks like for us. Be it turning your kitchen into a pretend Great British Baking Show tent or curling up on the couch for a bingfest of feel good flicks. Whatever comfort looks like to you, this has been the year to go all in. That also transfers to what we want and what we are gifting for the holidays this year.

For Mississippi native, Lacey Chabert, that means she will be giving some very special and indulgently soft slippers to her entire family this year. Chabert has teamed up with the slipper brand Dearfoams, a partnership that was a lifetime in the making for her. “Growing, Dearfoams was almost synonymous with Christmas for us. Everyone was always gifted Dearfoams within my family. And everyone looked forward to their new pair of slippers,” she said during a recent virtual press event. Chabert was specifically discussing the new Limited Edition 2020 Matching Family Collection from the slipper giants. “These are the cutest,” she said whilst holding up her feet to show she was wearing a pair adorned with the moniker “Mama Bear” on them.

“I have a four-year-old daughter named Julia. And she wants to match Mommy and do everything that I do and have a kid version of everything that I have. So, you know, I’m enjoying it while she’s still allowing me to match with her while I know that phase won’t last forever. But I have the Mama Bear ones. She has the little bear ones. And then my husband has the Papa Bear ones. We got my sister the Auntie Bear ones. And I’ve since purchased a pair for everyone in my entire family. I bought all of them,” she declared proudly. “They’re versatile and they’re just adorable and they’re incredibly comfortable. I feel like they’re almost a hug for your feet,” Chabert added.

We’ve tried these out and can confirm, that memory foam sole is no joke. They are super cozy, but the bottom side of the sole is still sturdy enough to walk out front and grab the mail or take the dog out.

While this holiday season is going to look different for most of us, it doesn’t have to be any less special. We all just have to learn to adapt. Chabert explained how her family tradition of matching holiday jammies will not be skipped. “While we might not physically be together in person, we’re already planning our family Christmas picture on the computer where we are all wearing our matching slippers and hopefully, we can re-enact that next year in person.” While Chabert may be far away from her Mississippi home these days, she hasn’t forgotten her Mississippi roots or the foods she grew up on, especially at the holidays. When asked about what desserts grace her table, she replied energetically, “I’m from the South, so typical desserts that we make, are things that my great grandmother passed along her recipes for. Coconut cake. So yummy. Pecan pie, sweet potato pie and homemade whip cream and real vanilla beans. And banana pudding.” She’s also shared with us her family’s recipe for sweet potato pudding.
