Deadpool 2 director David Leitch has now officially confirmed that a sequel to 2021's Nobody is now in development. Speaking to Collider in promotion of his new film Bullet Train, the Hollywood creative said that a script is currently being written for the sequel and Better Call Saul's Bob Odenkirk will be returning to reprise his role as Hutch Mansell, a mysterious former assassin who worked for the government.

"Oh, I think everyone's really excited about it," Leitch said when asked about the sequel. "Everyone involved is like, 'Full steam ahead.' We are in the script process, and I think we had so much fun making that. Kelly [McCormick] and I had a blast, the actors had a blast, the studio loved the results, and it's happening. I mean, I think it's happening as fast as we can make it happen."

When asked if he had confidence that the sequel project would make its way to the silver screen, the director added: "I do, because there are these certain journeys that you go on, and they're just undeniable experiences for the people involved. And that was one of them. And I think all of us want to go back and play in that universe, and we want to see Bob bring that character to life again."

Elsewhere in entertainment, UFC champion Karamu Usman has joined the cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
