'Deadliest Catch' Star Mandy Hansen Reveals She 'Lost' Her Baby in Heartbreaking Post

Deadliest Catch star Mandy Hansen Pederson has announced some sad news.

Mandy, who is the daughter of the show’s captain Sig Hansen, posted a photo on Instagram of a baby onesie and booties with the following caption:

“Though I lost you my previous season onboard, I still think about you everyday. Words cannot describe the hurt and the love I still feel for you. May we meet one day little one. Momma’s got you in her heart forever and ever 😘”

Mandy has been married to Clark Pederson, who also appears on the Discovery Channel series, since 2017. Though Clark did not share a comment on his family update, he does often post pictures of Mandy. Most recently, he penned her a sweet tribute for Valentine’s Day, writing that he “can’t wait to get home” to his wife. The pair also have a pitbull, who Mandy often shows off on social media.

Commenters responded to Mandy’s post with many kind words of support, sharing their condolences for her loss and telling her to “hang in there.” One wrote, “Hope you get your rainbow baby really soon.”

The tragedy comes after a slew of hard moments for Mandy and her family. Her dad, Sig, had a heart attack on his fishing boat in 2016, and in 2018 he pleaded guilty to assaulting an Uber driver, according to People. The Deadliest Catch cast has also suffered multiple fatalities throughout the years, the most recent being Blake Painter in 2018.
