The third and final (cry) season of Dead to Me just dropped on Netflix, and for those who haven't watched it yet - boy are you in for one emotional ride. The new episodes follow the latest antics of unlikely best friends Jen Harding (Christina Applegate) and Judy Hale (Linda Cardellini), as they juggle friendship, family, romances, and trying to get away with murder. Again.

But amongst the never-ending obstacles that the pair face, and their chalk-and-cheese personalities when it comes to how they deal with things, it seems fans are all agreeing on the same thing about Cardellini's character - that she was a ray of sunshine and didn't deserve what happened to her.

ICYMI (spoilers alert), as well as figuring out how to get Jen off the hook for killing Steve Wood, the series also focuses on Judy's terminal cervical cancer diagnosis, and how the friends navigate the news and her inevitable fate. Of course, fans were devastated when they learned that there wouldn't be a happy ending for the two, and took to Twitter to air their emotions.

"Judy Hale you deserve so much better #DeadToMe," one viewer wrote, as another said: "Judy Hale, you were a real life angel thank you for everything #DeadToMe."

Others were quick to praise the positive, quirky, cup-half-full character, with one fan writing: "Judy Hale is the definition of sunshine. I will always love you. #DeadToMe," as another expressed their reaction to the ending: "Life update: personally victimized in 2022 twice, the first time being by Villanelle and Killing Eve season 4, the second time being by Judy Hale and Dead to Me season 3."

To be quite honest, we were not expecting the news, either, and have had a pretty hard time getting over the fact that no season 4 isn't the only reason we'll never see Judy Hale on our screens again.

Dead to Me is now streaming on Netflix.
