DC Power Returns To Celebrate Black Super Heroes, Will Feature Variant Covers

The critically-acclaimed DC Power will return in 2024, featuring all new original stories for DC’s Black Super Heroes.

Due for release January 30, 2024, DC Power’s main story will focus on the first meeting of Green Lanterns Sojourner “Jo” Mullein and John Stewart, written by Hugo award-winner N.K. Jemisin and artist Jamal Campbell.

Other original stories will feature The Signal, Thunder and Lightning, Val-Zod, the Superman of Earth-2, The Spectre, Bloodwynd and Nubia.

The anthology will be written by John Ridley (I Am Batman, The Other History of the DC Universe), Brandon Thomas (Hardware: Season One, Aquaman: The Becoming), Lamar Giles (Static: Up All Night), Shawn Martinbrough (Red Hood), Cheryl Lynn Eaton (Batman: Secret Files, New Talent Showcase: The Milestone Initiative) and Alitha Martinez (Nubia and the Amazons, Nubia: Queen of the Amazons), withy art from Jamal Campbell, Edwin Galmon, Khary Randolph, Denys Cowan, Tony Akins, Asiah Fulmore and more.

DC Power will be published as a 104 page prestige oneshot book, featuring variant covers from Campbell, Chase Conley and Denys Cowan.

The original DC Power: A Celebration was released in 2023 with stories featuring Cyborg, John Stewart, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Batwing, Vixen, Amazing-Man, all written by Black artists and writers.
