The start of March is bringing a ton of new DC comics to store shelves. This month's comics include stories about a good variety of heroes and villains, with some great entry points for new readers.

The Bat-Man: First Knight is a new take on the classic character, with writer Dan Jurgens and artist Mike Perkins bringing him back to 1939 Gotham. Set in the aftermath of the First World War, The Bat-Man must navigate the chaos on the streets to solve a series of gruesome murders. The DC Black Label comic will reinvent the hero once again, by transporting readers to an era that hasn't been explored in comics in a long time. This Bat-Man doesn't have his iconic utility belt, a Batmobile, or even Alfred.

"For the purposes of our stories, Bruce Wayne has only been the Bat-Man for a few weeks," said Jurgens. "It’s very new for him and he’s questioning himself throughout the process. Is this something that’s totally crazy to do? Something reasonable? Can he even survive?"

Elsewhere, graphic novel fans can look forward to picking up a bunch of new collections. Superman: Action Comics Vol. 1: Rise of Metallo collects stories from Action Comics #1051-1056, where the Superman family is under the threat of the Blue Earth movement. The story sees the Super-Twins fight against a supercharged Metallo, while Lex Luthor is pulling the strings in the background.

Superman: Emperor Joker collects a bunch of stories from Superman and Action Comics to create a collection that explores a weird world where Joker reigns supreme. What happens when Joker gains the power to reshape reality, putting him on a collision course against the last son of Krypton? Something interesting, we hope.

Those subscribed to DC Universe Infinite Ultra can download Trinity Special #1, which follows the journey of Wonder Woman's daughter from teenage to adulthood. Most of these stories are direct reprints of older stories, but if you still want to read a story about Damian Wayne and Jon Kent babysitting Diana Prince's daughter, then, by all means, go ahead. It also includes a new story from Tom King that teases the future of the character in the world of DC.
