Nearly two weeks after Deadline published an exposé detailing Days of Our Lives' director and co-executive producer Albert Alarr's misconduct on set, the soap opera's stars have signed a petition demanding his removal.

Deadline reports that though Sony Pictures Television promised it would launch an investigation into Alarr's behavior, nothing has changed on set so far. Over 25 cast members have signed the petition out of frustration of the lack of improvement during production, alleging "traumatic and disheartening" conditions.

The petition reportedly states, "As a result of said actions of the current [co-]executive producer Albert Alarr, mentioned in the report, many of us feel—and will continue to feel—very uncomfortable and distraught should he stay involved with the show. Many of us have either been physically or verbally violated by him, including witnessing those objectionable and offensive actions."

The joint statement in the document continues, "We all want to make the most of this significant moment, not just for us in entertainment, but for our loyal viewers and the culture as a whole."

Allegations against Alarr include forcibly grabbing and kissing an actress without consent, berating the cast while directing episodes, and making sexual comments about female cast members on set.

A source mentioned that multiple women who were among the soap's biggest stars left the series due to the mistreatment they experienced at the hands of the longtime director, who has been working on the show since 2003.

Though testimonies of Alarr's behavior were shared anonymously by the show's cast and crew, Lisa Rinna confirmed that she experienced his problematic behavior while filming spin-off Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.

In an Instagram Story, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum wrote that the allegations coming to light were a "long time coming." She added, "It was disgusting. I let many people know [my discomfort on set], Albert included, and they didn't do a thing until now, it seems."
