David Tennant is making sure his son Ty Tennant stays humble following his breakthrough role in House of the Dragon through a gentle bit of trolling.

Ty, who has also appeared in Doom Patrol, Around the World in 80 Days and War of the Worlds, was making an appearance at a Comic-Con event in London over the weekend to promote his role in the series.

In a photo posted to social media by mum Georgia, David turned up and stood behind Ty at his autograph stand, holding up a sign that read: "He's not that special!"

Fans will know that David's father-in-law–and former incarnation of The Doctor–Peter Davison did the same thing at Wales Comic-Con earlier this year.

Basically, if you're an actor in this family, expect your loved ones to rib you while you're signing autographs.

Georgia and David also have four younger children: Olive, Wilfred, Doris and Birdie.

Back in 2020, the Tenth/Fourteenth Doctor actor admitted that he was worried about whether Ty would be good at acting, stating: "Acting is a crapshoot anyway, and Georgia and I had this fear when he went into it of, what if we see him in something and he's rubbish? Will we be able to tell him?

"But as it turns out, he's incredibly talented. Which was a great relief to realize!"

"Being a dad is one of the most extraordinary and life-affirming things that can ever happen to you," he added, "as well as being something you have to keep working at if you're going to be any good at it."
