If you used to be a fan of the app Vine or are an avid YouTube watcher, there's a good chance that you have seen some of David Dobrik's viral content. From comedy style bits on the now defunct app to his hilarious vlogs on YouTube, this seems to be the 23-year-old's year.

Already in 2019, Dobrik has won a Kid's Choice Award and People's Choice Award, hosted this year's Teen Choice Awards with Lucy Hale, landed his first TV show job as a judge on "America's Most Musical Family" and continues to bring new viewers to his already successful YouTube channel that has 14.4 million subscribers and counting.

In the Know's Julia Webb sat down with Dobrik, and the rest of the "America's Most Musical Family" judges, Ciara and Debbie Gibson, as well as host Nick Lachey, to hear more about his first major experience in front of the camera on Nickelodeon's new reality competition show.

While Dobrik has no formal musical background, in contrast to his co-stars, he eagerly expressed how it's "cool to be a part of the beginning steps [for] all these families" that are getting to share their musical acts on the show. "There’s going to be so many families that are going to come out of this with full blown careers, because they’re so talented," he continued.

In previous interviews, and on his comedy podcast Views, the creator has shared that the next mountain he wants to climb after the vlogs come to an end is late night hosting. So it's no surprise that being a judge on America's Most Musical Family seems like a perfect first move.

Of being on a real television set, he said: "This is the first time I’ve done really anything in front of cameras that I didn’t have in my own hands... Being on set is so different than filming a YouTube video at home or with your friends. There’s so many moving parts and everyone’s trying to get one thing done and it’s just so exciting to see the final product."

You can tune in to watch America's Most Musical Family on Nickelodeon on Fridays at 7pm ET.
