With Blue Beetle only just hitting theaters on August 18, its director Ángel Manuel Soto already has his eyes set on the next project. It’s called The Wrecking Crew, and it’s set to star Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Wrecking Crew is described as a buddy comedy, with the two leads presumably keen to show their comedic chops. Bautista is a breakout star of James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy movies, while Momoa delivered villainous camp in the recent Fast X.

With the film starring two of Hollywood’s burliest and most imposing screen presences, however, we’re expecting a few action scenes and one or two punch-ups along the way.

While shooting has yet to start, the script’s already been finished. It’s penned by Jonathan Tropper, creator of TV series Warrior. The ongoing actors’ strike means details are scant, however, and The Wrecking Crew doesn’t yet have a release date.

Another Jason Momoa film does though: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. It’s out December 20, but don't expect an appearance from Batman. Here’s how Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom cut 2 Batman cameos.
