Social media sites like TikTok and Instagram have seen their fair share of criticism due to dangerous trends and other questionable viral moments, but a heartwarming story out of Illinois shows that sometimes social media can do good.

All it took was a short TikTok for Isabel Milan to turn around her mom's taco shop in Glenview, Illinois. On December 8, Milan uploaded a TikTok to the @tacoboutjoys account with the caption, "I wish I could give her customers for Christmas."

In the brief video, the camera pans to her mother seated in the empty restaurant. Text overlaid on the video reads, "It breaks my heart to see my mom watching the door everyday waiting for a customer to walk in."

Thankfully, social media did its thing, and Milan's TikTok went viral in just a matter of days. In the two weeks since it was posted, the video has been seen well over 40 million times and has received thousands of comments from users across the country eager to get their hands on a taco.

And in a charming case of "ask and you shall receive," her mom's restaurant, Taco-Bout-Joy has been swarmed with new customers. There's been such an influx of new business, that they even had to ask for more kitchen help from friends and family.

In a separate video, Milan offered additional insight on Taco-Bout-Joy, revealing that the restaurant is owned by her mother Joy, who she referred to as her hero, and her aunt.

If you're in the are and you want to visit Taco-Bout-Joy this holiday season (or beyond!), you can find them at 909 Greenwood Road in Glenview, Illinois.
