Dates And Registration Window Announced For Downieville Classic
The Downieville Classic is an iconic mountain bike festival and race in Northern California.
On January 18 the event's organizers announced that the race will happen on July 13-14, 2024. Mark your calendar!
As with many races these days, the race fills up quickly. Potential racers would be well served to hop on registration early.
The Downieville Classic is a unique race. There is both a cross-country and downhill race, but the big race is the All-Mountain. The All-Mountain combines racer's times from the cross country and downhill. To make things spicy riders have to race both on one bike! See highlights from last year's race below.
This unique race has become a colloquialism. A bike that is good for descending and pedaling an XC race has become known as a Downieville bike.
