Daron Rahlves Shows Off Sleek New Red Bull Helmet

Today, August 10th, professional skier Daron Rahlves took to Instagram to show off his brand-spankin' new Red Bull helmet.

Rahlves new lid was produced in conjunction with AirTrix, a design studio located in Santa Barbara, California, that's designed the exteriors of Red Bull helmets for several professional action sports athletes.

But what's the deal with Red Bull helmets?

Here's the 411: Over the years, these helmets have evolved into the ultimate freeskiing status indicator. If you see someone sporting one while out on the slopes, it's safe to assume that they rip incredibly hard.

This stems from Red Bull's position as one of the preeminent action sports brands. Everyone they sponsor is at the top of their craft, and the brand does much more than advertise and sell energy drinks, involving themselves in everything from events to producing action sports movies across multiple disciplines.

Thus, when an athlete receives their first Red Bull helmet, it's as if they've earned a nod from the industry that says, "You just made it to the big leagues, kid." Groms worldwide dream of donning the red, silver, and blue.
