Darius Rucker and his wife, Beth, are splitting after 20 years of marriage. Borrowing a phrase made famous by Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Darius and Beth announced their decision to "consciously uncouple" in a joint statement on Instagram on Saturday.

"Beth and I would like to share that after much reflection we have made the decision to consciously uncouple. We remain close friends and parenting partners and continue to be each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Our priority will always be our beautiful family,"said the statement, which was posted alongside a photo of Darius and Beth at the Country Music Awards in 2017. "We have so much love in our hearts for each other and will continue to encourage growth and expansion in one other."

"Please be kind as we take on this journey, and we thank you for your love and support always," the statement added.

The couple tied the knot in 2000 after meeting in 1998 while Beth was working in New York for VH1 and Darius was in town playing with his band, Hootie & the Blowfish.

They share two children: daughter Daniella, 19, and son Jack, 15. Darius also has a daughter Caroline, 25, from a previous relationship.

Darius's fellow country stars sent their love and support to the couple in the comments section:

His close friend Brad Paisley said, "Love to you."

Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney wrote, "Nothing but love to y’all."

And Jake Owen said, "Love to you and your family man."
