Darden Restaurants sliding, AbbVie down on drug results, Carnival cruising higher

Darden Restaurant (DRI) Shares are down in early trade, down around -4.9%. Olive Garden parent beat on earnings, but revenue and same-stores sales missed the mark.

AbbVie (ABBV): Shares are tumbling here, down around -11.2%. The drugmaker announced that after consulting with the FDA, it would not proceed with accelerated approval for an experimental small cell lung cancer treatment.

Carnival (CCL): Shares are drifting higher here, up around +1.7%. The world’s largest cruise ship operator beat on earnings for the last quarter and offered current quarter profit guidance that topped estimates.
