Danny Masterson's Wife Makes Major Request in Divorce Filing

Bijou Phillips is seeking spousal support in her divorce from husband Danny Masterson, who recently received a 30-year prison sentence in his rape trial.
In Phillips' divorce papers filed on Monday, Sept. 18, the actress requested to "terminate the court's ability to grant support" to Masterson, 47, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE.
The actress, 43, asked that she be granted full legal and physical custody of the pair's 9-year-old daughter Fianna, giving Masterson visitation rights.
Phillips is also seeking that their assets be divided up by the court as separate property, with no indication in the papers that the former spouses had a prenuptial agreement in place.
The divorce docs—which were filed less than two weeks after Masterson's sentencing hearing—list "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, while a separation date was listed as "TBD," per the outlet.
Phillips is also requesting that Masterson pay her attorneys fees.
Prior to filing for divorce from Masterson, Phillips could be seen supporting her husband in court when he received his lengthy prison sentence.
As Parade previously reported, Phillips was said to have looked "visibly upset" after the sentence was read, while sources at Variety said she could be seen "crying at the courthouse." She and Masterson's mother, Carol Masterson, were later rushed off into a vehicle at the end of the hearing.
The news of Phillips' divorce filing was soon confirmed by her attorney Peter A. Lauzon in the following weeks, where he revealed that his client "has decided to file for divorce from her husband during this unfortunate time."
"This period has been unimaginably hard on the marriage and the family," Lauzon added, noting that Phillips' priority remains with the pair's daughter.
