Danny MacAskill Celebrates 15-Year Anniversary Of Iconic Video

In 2009, Inspired Bicycles released an edit with a little-known Scottish Rider by the name of Danny MacAskill, who showed off his skills in the streets of Edinburgh.

April 19th marks the 15th anniversary of the edit, which launched Danny MacAskill’s iconic career. See his post honoring it below.

Danny MacAskill has released many popular and mind-blowing videos in the years since, but none match the rawness and simplicity. Inspired Bicycles has an air of nostalgia about it. Without a high res camera or sponsors, Danny was able to captivate audiences with his riding alone.

After Danny burst onto the scene with Inspired, he was quickly picked up by Red Bull and appeared in edits thereafter wearing his signature Red Bull Helmet.

MacAskill has been one of the most well-known riders in the world due to the universality of his riding style. If a non-riding aunt has sent you a bike video, it is likely that it features Danny.
