Danity Kane’s Aubrey O’Day Defends Photoshopping Herself into Fake Vacation Photos

A TikTok user called the artist out for seemingly photoshopping herself into pictures.

Singer and former reality TV contestant, Aubrey O'Day has responded to criticism from fans over her attempt to pass altered images off as personal vacation photos on Instagram.

O'Day, who is best known as a member of the former girl group Danity Kane and for her participation in Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars and Celebrity Apprentice, has become the center of controversy after a TikTok user called the artist out for photoshopping herself into pictures that were originally shared by "other creators" or "random promotional images".

In a now-deleted TikTok video that went viral and has since been reposted on Twitter, @residualdata called the star out and even provided the 'receipts' to back up the claims.

The creator, Sophie, has accumulated over 99,000 followers for her content–which she describes as "discussions on body image using empirical research & popular press."

But O'Day wasn't having any of it. And instead, clapped back at the young critic in an Instagram post shared on Aug. 21.

"took the PJ [private jet] to Heaven in the last 24.. wanted to share with y’all how beautiful it was.. also ran into Jesus and we hugged it out. He told me to let the lil bird on tiktok with SO much to say about my life.." she sarcastically stated online.

"..and not that I need to explain myself, but I’ve been in this industry for over 20 years and have been traveling the world since I was 7. If I want my Instagram to be curated like a museum of ART then that’s what the f*** is going to happen," she explained.

The saltiness didn't stop there–in addition to mocking the TikToker with an edited photo of O'Day meeting Jesus–the 38-year-old continued to defend her actions.

"I’m an artist, a REAL creator," she stressed.

"Respect my aesthetic, I work hard to give y’all beautiful content that feels the way the places I travel vibrate.. because I want y’all to vibrate high with me."

She also had a message for the original critic and all those that shared her viewpoint.

"lil tok girl, I am so sorry to your place of work that allows you to sit on my page all day with binoculars.. but I suggest you learn this lesson fast: you don’t even need to concentrate on others to be your own version of special and necessary in this world.. you can make positive changes just by using your own gifts.. stop looking left and right if you wanna move forward. 🤍🙏🏽," she wrote.
