In time for the Valentine's Day opening of Bob Marley: One Love, Island Records and Tuff Gong have announced they will release Bob Marley: One Love (Music Inspired by the Film).

The EP features seven songs composed by the reggae icon, interpreted by contemporary stars Daniel Caesar, Kacey Musgraves, Wizkid, Leon Bridges, Jessie Reyez, Bloody Civilian, and Skip Marley, grandson of Bob Marley.

The Marley family, who also produced the film, had a say in choosing and approving which songs would be on the EP.

The final track list is:

Cedella Marley, the daughter of Bob Marley, said, "The mission is always to spread Daddy's music to every corner of the Earth, and we were very thoughtful in handpicking these artists".

She also said, "Having his songs rebirthed at the same time we get to show the world his story through this movie, is something that my family and I are extremely proud to be a part of."

Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, Bob Marley: One Love stars Kingsley Ben-Adir as Bob Marley with Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley.

Other cast members include James Norton, Tosin Cole, Umi Myers, Anthony Welsh, Nia Ashi, Aston Barrett Jr., Anna-Sharé Blake, Gawaine "J-Summa" Campbell, Naomi Cowan, Alexx A-Game, Michael Gandolfini, Quan-Dajai Henriques, David Kerr, Hector Roots Lewis, Abijah "Naki Wailer" Livingston, Nadine Marshall, Sheldon Shepherd, Andrae Simpson, Stefan A.D Wade.

The film wants to celebrate the life and music of the icon that inspired generations and follows Bob's powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music. It will be the first time his story has been told on the big screen.

Bob Marley: One Love hits theaters on February 14, 2024.
