Forget Ash Ketchum. Daniel Arsham is now the one capturing Pokémon.

The renowned New York-based artist, whose career spans over two decades, has teamed up with Tiffany & Co. to reimagine the fictional creatures in jewelry form.

The new capsule collection was inspired by an art exhibition titled A Ripple in Time that Arsham and Pokémon put on in February 2022. For the show, the 42-year-old creative turned beloved characters such as Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff, Charmander, and the like into archeological relics of the future with his signature “eroded” technique. Similarly, the new Tiffany bling sees six legendary Pokémon take on Arsham’s instantly recognizable aesthetic to evoke the passage of time.

“With my latest project with Tiffany, we’ve recontextualized Pokémon—a nod to my 2022 A Ripple in Time project in Tokyo—to orchestrate a new narrative,” said Daniel Arsham. “With Pokémon and Tiffany, itself, there’s a sense of cultural permanence about each.”

The collection includes nine designs centered around either Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Cubone, or Mew. There is also one piece featuring all six Pokémon. The necklaces and pendants are crafted from either oxidized sterling silver or yellow gold and have the same crystallized quality as the sculptures featured in the aforementioned exhibition.

As Pikachu is the most Pokémon in the franchise, the two pieces dedicated to the character are particularly striking. Paying homage to Pika’s yellow coat, the necklaces are made of 18-karat yellow gold and accented with diamonds. The necklace comes with either a small or large Pikachu pendant, but both come housed in Tiffany Blue Poké Balls. The oxidized sterling silver designs showcasing the remaining Pokémon are packaged in a cobranded version of the house’s iconic Tiffany Blue Box.

This is not the first time Arsham has worked with the American jeweler, of course. Last year, the artist designed a limited-edition lock bracelet for the holidays and a special-edition basketball for All-Star weekend. This collab is in a league of its own, though.

The Tiffany & Co, Arsham Studio, and Pokémon collection will be available online starting November 29, but you need to enroll online first for an opportunity to purchase. The pieces will also be on sale at the Tiffany & Co. Landmark in New York City and the Omotesando store in Tokyo this December.
