It looks like there might be two Rodgers weddings in the near future. In an interview on Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM radio show, Danica Patrick spoke about her boyfriend Aaron Rodgers and their “fantastic” relationship—hinting, even, that something big might be happening soon.
When McCarthy asked when the couple is getting married, Patrick jokingly replied, “Um, tom[orrow]—wait, no, what?” While Patrick may be hopeful about getting engaged soon, she also spoke about keeping her expectations in check.
“You know what? That’s one of those things,” the former racecar driver told McCarthy. “You can’t be attached to something going a certain way because if you really want something to happen, there’s that equal energy of being afraid that it’s not going to happen.”
The Pretty Intense podcast host added that the best way to handle those expectations is to focus on the present. “You just have to let it go and be like, ‘Well, am I having fun today? Yep.’ Then life’s good.”
Patrick, however, was quick to see the humor in the situation. “I’ll probably get proposed to tomorrow now,” she laughed.
If they get engaged, Danica Patrick and Aaron Rodgers could potentially be joining the newly re-engaged JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers in wedding planning. JoJo and Jordan got engaged on Season 12 of The Bachelorette. But after living together for over three years, Jordan surprised JoJo by asking her to marry him again. The Bachelor couple is in the thick of wedding planning as they head towards their 2020 date.
Fans of the reality series will remember the Rodgers’ family drama that was revealed on the series. However, the relationship is reportedly getting better—and it’s all thanks to Patrick.
“Things between Aaron and his family are improving, slowly, but it is happening,” an insider source told E! News. “Aaron is back on speaking terms with his family, including his brother Jordan, and it’s really all happening with the help of Danica, who is bridging the gap between everyone.”
The source also revealed that there’s a good chance Aaron will attend Jordan’s wedding. And, if Patrick’s predictions are correct, it looks like there might be an opportunity for Jordan to attend Aaron’s wedding.
Patrick, 37, and Rodgers, 35, met at the 2012 ESPY Awards and confirmed their relationship in January 2018.
