Danica McKellar and Candace Cameron Bure may have first forged their friendship over their TV acting careers as child stars, but as any true friends do, the two also bonded over their love interests—just not in the way one might think.

According to McKellar, now 48, she and Bure were in a bit of a love triangle years back, unknowingly, of course. And the third party involved? None other than Growing Pains actor Jeremy Miller.

"So, in 1989, I believe it was, there was this party that a teen magazine was putting on and Jeremy Miller, who was also a young actor, he was at this party," The Wonder Years actress recently shared with Fox News Digital reporters.

"I was there, and Candace was there. and he asked me to be his girlfriend. And I was like, ‘Yes!’ And I didn't know at the time, but I guess Candace thought that she and Jeremy were dating," McKellar explained.

"[It’s] so silly," she went on, "I mean, we were so young. We were like 13 years old. So, this was not any kind of serious relationship we're talking about."

Still, it took quite some time for the truth about Miller's relationships to surface.

"But I found out years later on Dancing with the Stars," McKellar recalled of her time on season 18 of the long-running dancing competition. "I found out that she [Bure] was like, ‘Oh, we were dating. I'm like, What?’ So, Jeremy, tsk tsk, not good."

That said, the two actresses would clearly never let anything get between them, as the Matchmaker Mysteries producer concluded, "But luckily my friendship with Candace has survived just fine."

As for her romantic life, well, that turned out just fine, too, as McKellar and her husband, Scott Sveslosky, are set to celebrate 10 years of marriage in 2024.
