On September 23, 2023, The couple officiated their vows in Oahu, Hawaii in front of 20 of their closest friends and family. “We chose Hawaii because it has such a special place in our hearts and our relationship,” Cook told People. “It was one of the first trips we ever went on together and we continue to go back often. It’s such an oasis, and we couldn’t be more excited to have spent our wedding week surrounded by the beauty of Oahu.”

“We were friends for a while & soon after fell in like with each other and then upgraded to love,” the American Gods actor shared, adding that they met at a game night in 2018. “My mom, Donna, always instilled in me that the person you love and who loves you back, you have to be a team,” he says. “Championing each other, supporting one another through life’s ups and downs. With Kelsi that’s been at the core of who we are since we became a couple. I’ve long imagined having a family, a home filled with laughter and dogs, and most importantly feeling the mutual desire to embrace this life, sharing the adventure.”

It’s like being in jail and having a conjugal visit. ‘I hope this goes my way, I hope I don’t get caught,’” he recalled on the “On the List with Brett Gursky” podcast. “I’ve been fortunate because I’m in a really healthy relationship with somebody, both physically healthy and the relationship itself.”

The comedian continued, “We both really maintained a great kind of, like, mutual understanding that we both want to do our own independent things, but in some ways, we’re more of a robust relationship in the center because we worked on all the stuff that you should be working on also when you’re independent and then you come back to the table, it’s more time at the table and then taking that outward.”
