When does Dancing With the Stars season 32 come out?

The 32nd season of Dancing With the Stars is set to hit our TV screens on September 26, 2023.

How do I watch Dancing With the Stars?

While the last season of DWTS was only available for viewing on Disney+, the reality competition series is (kind of) returning to its roots this time around. In conversation with Deadline, the president of Disney+, Alisa Bowen, revealed the show was introduced on the streaming platform to bring in a "new generation of fans."

But season 32 of DWTS will air on ABC *as well as* premiere live on Disney+. The new season will also be available for streaming on Hulu the next day. So we have a few options here!

What about the pro dancers?

Some of our fave pro dancers from past seasons will not be returning to the DWTS ballroom.

Mark Ballas, who danced with last season's winner Charli D'Amelio, announced he would be retiring from the show while performing at a live show in March 2023. "I just wanna finish by saying this will be the last time you see me dance in this capacity. I'm coming to a close tonight. This is gonna be my last dance," he said, according to People.

Season 19 winner Witney Carson McAllister, who danced with contestant-turned-host Alfonso Ribeiro, posted a TikTok with news she won't be returning to the dance floor this time around. She said she wants to spend time with her family while raising her two young sons, and she doesn't feel she's ready to return to the show's busy schedule.

"I definitely think this is just a break, I hope it's not goodbye," she said in the clip.

As for Val Chmerkovskiy, he recently welcomed a baby boy with his wife and fellow pro dancer Jenna Johnson. In conversation with Us Weekly, he confirmed they're coming back for the competition in season 32. Jenna—who was famously part of the first same-sex duo when she competed with JoJo Siwa in season 30—didn't compete in season 31 because she was pregnant with her son, Rome, at the time.

Who is judging DWTS season 32?

Len Goodman, who was the head judge on the show, announced his retirement before he passed away in April 2023. A Variety report confirmed Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough are returning to the judging table for season 32.

Who is hosting Dancing With the Stars?

The new hosts of DWTS were revealed in a promo posted to the show's official social accounts on August 21. Former pro-dancer-turned-all-around-superstar Julianne Hough will be joining Alfonso Ribeiro as the host of the reality competition. While Julianne will take over Sky Box duties, Alfonso will be the emcee on the dance floor.

In the promo, the pair showed off their sick moves to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Heads Will Roll," and we are nothing short of obsessed. A behind-the-scenes video for the promo was also shared a few days later:

Tyra Banks, who hosted the last three seasons as emcee, told TMZ she would not be returning to the franchise in season 32.

"I feel it's really time for me to focus on my business and my entrepreneurship. And also, producing more TV, but behind the scenes," Tyra explained. "I think it's time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor."
