Cheryl Burke will be missed on Dancing With the Stars this week after receiving unexpected news.

Over the weekend, on Sunday morning, the longtime pro dancer began recording herself when she was on her way to get a COVID-19 test. Cheryl revealed that she felt “run down,” despite receiving both doses of the Moderna vaccine. Later that afternoon, Cheryl, who is partnered with Peloton's Cody Rigsby for season 30, shared her results while trying to hold back tears.

“I have really bad news. I am positive, which means I have COVID … The PCR test came back, and it came back positive," she said in an Instagram video. "I feel so bad for Cody. I feel like I'm letting him down. I just feel like s--t, to be quite honest. And it's so overwhelming because it's Sunday, and the show's tomorrow."

She continued: "I figured I should let you guys know since I've been as open and as real and vulnerable as I could be here. I just hope I didn't spread it. For those of you who don't think COVID is a real thing, it's f--king real, dude. So I have to quarantine for 10 days and I've been ordered to stay home … I don’t know what to say. I'll be in bed. I can't believe this happened."

Last Monday, Cheryl and Cody wowed judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Derek Hough during the premiere of DWTS season 30. The duo danced the tango to Dua Lipa’s “Physical” and earned a score of 24 out of 40.

Unfortunately, just a day before their second performance, Cheryl had to begin quarantining. Upon hearing about her latest health news, DWTS pros and celebrity contestants immediately reached out to her on Instagram.

“Cheryl sending you so much love,” Emma Slater wrote. “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Sasha Farber added. “Cheryl Burke I love you! Thinking of you!!!!” Witney Carson said. “Nooooo Cheryl!!! Sending you love and healing prayers! ❤️❤️,” Jenna Johnson commented. “Sending prayers and healing vibes your way, you got this!” Ezra Sosa wrote. "Sending you love you. 🙏🏽 for you 💜," Jimmie Allen said. “Oh Cheryl! We will miss you and I’m praying for you,” Amanda Kloots added. “Praying for you,” Christine Chiu said with heart emojis.

The longtime ballroom dancer also received heartfelt and supportive messages from her fans. “Sending prayers. I hope you feel better soon. Your health is way more important than anything else. 💕,” someone commented. “Ugh I’m so sorry Cheryl! Was looking forward to seeing you and Cody’s second dance. Get well soon and take care of yourself. We love you ♥️♥️♥️,” a different folk said.

While Cody himself hasn't posted anything, we're sure he's also being super supportive to his partner behind the scenes. What's more, Peloton posted a heartfelt message for Cody and Cheryl ahead of Monday night's episode.

"The show must go on! Sending love and healing vibes to @cherylburke and best of luck to Cheryl and @codyrigsby tonight on @dancingabc, because the competition is ON!" the caption read.

We hope Cheryl starts to feel better really soon!
