For more than 100 years, Van Cleef & Arpels has had a deep-rooted history with the world of dance. It began when Louis Arpels would take his nephew Claude to the Paris Opera during the 1920s. Then in the 1940s, the famed French jewelry house began developing its signature gemstone-encrusted ballerina clips. But it wasn't until the 1960s when the bond between the Maison and the dance community solidified even further: Claude was introduced to legendary choreographer and co-founder of the New York City Ballet, George Balanchine, and a ballet called Jewels inspired by Van Cleef & Arpels's dazzling pieces was produced.

Fast forward to current times, Van Cleef & Arpels continues to be a proponent of a number of dance initiatives, and most recently, created an annual festival called Dance Reflections that is dedicated to supporting dance companies and institutions globally. The first edition successfully took place in London earlier in the year, and is now heading to New York City and Los Angeles this fall.

Then, later this month on Tuesday, October 25 to Friday, October 28, Dance Reflections will move to L.A., where it is partnering with Benjamin Millepied's L.A. Dance Project and The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) to bring together three internationally renowned choreographers. Attendees will have the chance to see a newly-adapted version of Vienne's Crowd, plus Millepied's Be Here Now, which is inspired by composer Andy Akiho's recently released Seven Pillars. The event will also feature Show Show, a piece created by Dimitri Chamblas that's based on the principles of trance, exaltation, telepathy, and unconscious memories.

Should you be interested in attending, tickets are available on the official Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels website.
