Dan Levy Set To Make His Directorial Debut With First Feature Good Grief

More actors are stepping behind the camera this year, with Jake Johnson writing, directing and starring in his new comedy thriller, and now four-time Emmy-winner Dan Levy is set to make his feature directorial debut with Good Grief.

Johnson and Levy share something in common in that they both have TV directing credits under their belt, but each of them is now setting their sights on feature-making, and both of them are starring in their movies.

Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, Luke Evans, Celia Imrie, Arnaud Valois, David Bradley, Mehdi Baki, Emma Corrin, Jamael Westman, Kaitlyn Dever and Yoli Fuller join Dan Levy in Good Grief, a story about the complex nature of grieving.

The official synopsis from Netflix shares:

Marc was content living in the shadow of his larger-than-life husband, Oliver. But when Oliver unexpectedly dies, Marc's world shatters, sending him and his two best friends, Sophie and Thomas, on a soul-searching trip to Paris that reveals some hard truths they each needed to face.

Good Grief will be available to stream on Netflix on January 5, 2024.
