Dan Levy has been booked and busy since starring in the beloved comedy series, Schitt’s Creek. And now, his (already stacked) resume is about to get a little bit longer.

Earlier this week, Netflix announced that the actor will star in and make his directorial debut with the upcoming film Good Grief. (He also helped write the script.) The Happiest Season star shared the exciting news on Instagram with a screenshot of a Deadline article announcing the project.

Levy wrote in the caption, “Well, this is a g d dream come true!”

The description for the movie (courtesy of Deadline) reads: “The [story] follows Marc Dreyfus. He’s chosen to distract himself from the loss of his mom with a comfortable marriage. But when his husband also dies unexpectedly, Marc is forced to finally confront the grief he’s tried so hard to avoid, sending him and his two closest friends on a Parisian weekend of self-discovery.”

In an official statement, Levy talked about the project further, saying Good Grief is a “cautionary tale about friendship and loss and all the mess that comes with it when the truth is something you've evaded for most of your life.”

“It's funny, it's bittersweet, it's a project that has helped me work through my own grief,” he continued. “And I hope it does the same for other people as well.

The talented ensemble cast will also include Ruth Negga (Loving), Himesh Patel (Yesterday), Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast), Celia Imrie (Better Things), Arnaud Valois (Spring Blossom), David Bradley (Harry Potter) and Jamael Westman (Animals).
