Dakota Johnson opted to wear a blazer dress for her latest red carpet event.

  • From the front, this looks like a classic blazer situation…but all is not as it seems.

  • The reverse side of this blazer dress features an open back, complete with glorious chunky crystal detailing, arranged in the shape of a spine and rib cage.

The blazer dress is a wardrobe MVP. You can jazz it up with strappy heels for drinks with the gals or team it with a pair of white trainers for a low-key polished lewk. Whatever the occasion, the tailored staple is a solid outfit option.

So we’re not at all surprised that Dakota Johnson opted to wear the chic piece for her latest red carpet event. What does, however, have us kinda shook (in the best possible way, might I add) is the crystal spine detailing on the back of her dress.

Dakota stepped out at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York at the premiere of Cha Cha Real Smooth. For the event, the actor opted for a sleek white blazer dress by cult-status A-list brand Area. From the front, this looks like a classic blazer situation…but all is not as it seems.

On her way to the event, Dakota was spotted jumping into a car, revealing the back of the number in the process.

Far from a minimalist ’fit, the reverse side of this blazer dress features an open back, complete with glorious chunky crystal detailing, arranged in the shape of a spine and rib cage.

Amazing, right? Right.

Dakota accessorized the look with stacked and embellished hoop earrings and a pair of PVC pumps.

As for the beauty side of things, the 32-year-old repped her signature full fringe and wore the rest of her back in an elegant updo. Dakota finished the look with a bright eye, featuring voluminous lashes, paired with bronzed cheeks and a rosy lip.
