Dakota Johnson's signature look is brunette locks and bangs.
Which is why I had to do a double take when we saw pics of her sporting a short platinum blonde bob.
She's kept her fringe, but the Barbie-esque shade is a game changer.
If Dakota Johnson's signature brunette locks and bangs haven't had you debating whether to cut a fringe, you have more restraint than us. She's got great hair: a fact.
Which is why I had to do a double take when we saw pics of her sporting a short platinum blonde bob. (Dakota, is that really you??)
In the new pics, the actress is seen with what Cosmo U.K. thinks is her shortest hair to date and what's more, it's bright blonde. Of course, she's kept her signature fringe but the Barbie-esque shade is a game changer.

It's not the first time we've been teased with this particular movie hair transformation. We got the first sneak peek late last year (pic below for a trip down memory lane) but this new sighting looks all the more official.
Let's not forget that Dakota has turned to the blonde side previously. If you have a good memory for useless things (like us), you'll remember she was originally a blonde in her big film debut, The Social Network.

The actress has come a long way since then and starred in a lot more movies, but it's cute to see her returning to her blonde roots. Plus, she looks just like her mom, Melanie Griffiths, right?
We're sad to report this hair transformation is most likely just temporary *sigh*. The pics were taken on the set of Dakota's new film, Daddio, so we're presuming this hair change is just part of her character.
There seems to be an ongoing trend of celebs experimenting with bleach. As we've recently seen Kaia Gerber and Kim Kardashian trying out the lighter shade. Coincidence? We think not.
Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo
"I love this to repair damage, add shine, and help heal hair that has been through a lot of heat damage, styling, or chemical services. It makes hair feel smooth and shiny post-use." — Marjan
Blonde Moment Treatment Shampoo
"It's a fact: Blonde sometimes goes brassy. There are plenty of toning shampoos on the market to combat this—what makes this one unique is the addition of quinoa, which helps color to not only avoid getting yellow-ish, but also last longer. I used it when I went blonde and it was a lifesaver." — Underwood
Color Extend Conditioner
"Redken's hair-color products always deliver, and this conditioner keeps your color vibrant." — Perry
Cash In Instant Repair Serum
"Love this repairing serum for damaged ends. Just a small amount helps seal and prevent split ends and leaves hair feeling healthy." — Marjan

"This is the perfect remedy for thinning hair or grown-out roots. Spray it directly on the roots or scalp to camouflage any area. Don’t sleep on this game-changer!" — Santiago
Heat Protectant Shield
"To keep color looking lustrous when you're blow-drying, straightening, or adding wave, a heat protectant spray is a must. This one shield strands and also smells incredible. You won't even know that you're doing something good for your hair—it's that luxurious." — Underwood
Dry Shampoo
"This dry shampoo does what every dry shampoo should—refreshes next-day hair so you can extend your style. Fine. What's unique here is that the aerosol formula has a slightly purple tint to help neutralize brassiness in blonde or silver tones. Every who dyes will die for this." — Underwood
Nonetheless, it's settled our speculation of what Dakota would look like if she had completely different hair, like the exact opposite, of her long brunette locks.
