Two-toned hair is very on-trend ATM. But don't just take my word for it, instead, see: Kim Kardashian's streaky blonde locks, Kate Middleton's balayage babylights and even Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus and Love Island's Millie Court's chunky half and half 'dos. And if those recent looks are anything to go by, I guess it's safe to suggest that Christina Aguilera circa 2002 (aka 'Dirrty' era) is most probably the big hair muse of summer 2022. What a comeback, ey?

The latest member of the two-toned hair club is a very unexpected one and someone who hasn't changed their look dramatically ever since launching into the limelight with their big career debut in 2020's Normal People. And no, unfortunately for us Connell's chain fans (we still stan), Paul Mescal has not dyed his hair but alternatively, his on-screen lover, Daisy Edgar-Jones has.

The image of her newly dyed hair comes to us as a post from Instagram, where she shares her latest work starring on the cover of Elle UK. So, not only has the young successful actor bagged a new role in the hottest new film Where the Crawdads Sing but she is also a cover star. We. Love. To. See. It.

Now, at first glance, the hair transformation may go unnoticed but if you take a second look or even scroll down to see hairstylist, Patrick Wilson's BTS post, perhaps you'll spot the notably darker root in comparison to the lighter blonde mid-end lengths of her hair.

As much as we love this look, the big question reads: has Daisy opted for a Kristen Bell 2014-inspired dip-dye makeover or is she growing out previously blonde dyed hair with her natural roots showing through on top?

Daisy, can you confirm ASAP so that I can book in to have my hair dyed just the same, please?
