Dairy Queen’s New Peppermint Hot Cocoa Blizzard Is the Perfect Mix of Holiday Flavors

It’s time to plan a trip to Dairy Queen! A PR rep from the brand has confirmed to Best Products that the Peppermint Hot Cocoa Blizzard Treat — featuring rich cocoa fudge, choco chunks, and candy cane pieces blended with DQ’s soft-serve — will be available at participating location nationwide beginning on Nov. 25.

As much as we love the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, we’re switching out our order in favor of Dairy Queen’s new winter offering. The Peppermint Hot Cocoa Blizzard brings the flavors of the holidays to a tasty frozen treat!
According to Instagram account @stringtown_rd_dq, the account for an Ohio location, the new Blizzard starts with vanilla soft-serve and is blended with peppermint pieces, choco chunks, and cocoa fudge. Then, it’s finished with whipped topping and peppermint garnish. It sounds like the perfect peppermint and hot chocolate combination to us!

A couple years ago, Dairy Queen came out with the Oreo Hot Cocoa Blizzard, so it’s clear that they have a thing for hot cocoa flavors. It also introduced the Candy Cane Chill Blizzard, which was a mix of vanilla soft-serve, peppermint candy cane pieces and choco chunks. We hope you really like peppermint, because the Candy Cane Chill Blizzard is back, according to Instagram @dqmiddletown, an account for a New Jersey location.
With Christmas coming up, we have to give props to Dairy Queen for nailing this holiday flavor! Best Products has reached out to the brand for confirmation on the flavor’s availability, but until we hear back, we’re not against checking every nearby location to get our hands on the Blizzard.
