Dairy Queen Confirmed Their Burgers Aren't Made Of Human Meat, In Case You Were Actually Concerned
A lil rumor started spreading last week after a South Carolina DQ got invaded by federal agents. What was the rumor, you ask? Oh, just that Dairy Queen makes their burgers with human flesh. Don't you worry, though—the chain has confirmed this is absolutely not the case.
What really happened was that the manager of a Greenwood, SC, Dairy Queen was notified that the alarm in his restaurant was set off, which led him to head there as fast as he could. When he arrived, he was met with government investigators and state officials. “They showed up around 9 or 9:30. I have no idea why. They wouldn’t tell me anything,” Saif Momin told the Index-Journal.
He was told by an inspector that there was an official complaint about "human meat" being used to make their burgers. We can't even begin to imagine what was going through the minds of everyone involved here, but alas. It turns out the whole ordeal had nothing to do with anything cannibalistic. Instead, it was because two people who had no relation to DQ were allegedly running a money-transfer business in the area. Oh, and they were reportedly hiding an unlocked safe with $200,000 inside the Dairy Queen in question, another Index-Journal report explained.
Momin confidently shut down the accusations and said: "If that was the case, they already would have shut me down. I just want to make sure people know it has nothing to do with my business. They were looking for people that don’t work there."
Dairy Queen even took to Twitter to confirm that they do not make their burgers with human meat. If you're still not convinced, the county coroner told the paper: "There's little to no chance of anything like that ever being able to happen."
