Daily Harvest Recalls Lentil Crumbles After Consumers Report Gastrointestinal Issues and Hospitalizations

Daily Harvest, a company that specializes in delivering plant-based meals and snacks, is recalling one of its products after dozens of consumers have reported an array of gastrointestinal issues via social media. The product in question is Daily Harvest's French Lentil and Leek Crumbles, which have since been discontinued.

In a notice to customers on June 19, the New York-based brand acknowledged that it has "received customer reports of French Lentil and Leek Crumbles causing gastrointestinal issues." According to multiple Reddit, Twitter, and Instagram users, there have been reported experiences of nausea, vomiting, and liver damage after consuming the lentil dish.

Over on Twitter and Instagram, users shared similar stories, with some saying they experienced symptoms similar to severe food poisoning.
