These dads on TikTok shared where they think the best spot is on the plane when traveling with a baby, and the response from viewers proves that people have different opinions when it comes to traveling with an infant.
TikTokers Doug and Sanjay (@thetravellinggays) are busy parents and bloggers who often share clips of parenting, travel, and baby tips. Recently, they shared a video explaining which seating row on a plane they think is best for traveling with a baby, and it caused quite a stir in the comments section!

The clip begins with the question, “Where’s the best place to sit on a plane when traveling with a baby?” typed over a shot of a plane’s exterior.
According to Doug and Sanjay, the back row of the plane is the best place to sit when traveling with a baby for 5 reasons.
Over the next shot of the aircraft’s galley, they explain that since the back of the plane is near the galley, it’s easier to get up and walk around if a fussy baby needs settling.
They also prefer the back row because it’s close to the bathroom, which is perfect for emergency diaper changes.
In the next shot of the rows of seats in front of them, they further explain that there’s more privacy in the back, “so no judgy eyes watching you parent, and less pressure if your baby cries.”

Not to mention, the food cart passes those seats first, so parents won’t be stuck sitting down if they need to get up with the baby.
Last but not least, they mention that since most people prefer to sit closer to the front of the plane, you’re more likely to have an empty seat in your row, giving you more space.
While many viewers appreciated the couple’s flying tips, others were not shy about sharing their opinions on the best place to sit on a plane with a baby.
“[Reason #6] The flight attendants get to tell you how cute your baby is the entire flight,” one parent added to the list.
“WRONG! Baby will not sleep with all that noise, movement, and people by the bathrooms,” declared one TikToker.
“I sit in first class with the baby. Extra space from others, less busy bathroom, and space to walk if needed,” chimed in another parent.
While a first-class seat is likely everyone’s first choice, it’s still interesting to see the various reasons for people’s preferred plane seating when traveling with a baby.
