Dad Threatens to Send Argumentative English Bulldog to School to Learn Manners

Peggy the Bulldog woke up on the morning of Friday, May 17th, and apparently chose to start the day off by arguing with her dad. Her mom shared a video of the two sitting on the couch arguing, and it will make you laugh! Peggy didn't even think about stopping her antics, even after dad threatened to send her to Catholic school so the nuns could deal with her bad behavior!

The argument starts with Peggy yelling (AKA barking) at her dad. You can tell she's upset about something...maybe she was hangry? When dad tells her to stop and tries to sooth her with a pet, she starts nipping at him. Make sure your sound is on so you can hear the argument!

Peggy did not like the idea of school or the thought of learning any manners! It also didn't seem like she was backing down from the adorable argument. She's a feisty one! People also got a kick out of their exchange. One commenter wondered, "Where are Dad's manners Mom? He’s pointing fingers at me at sticking his finger between my eyes!" @Blockofflats pointed out, "This puppy is absolutely adorable, and determined to have the last word!" He's not wrong! @Yasmin laughed, "So cheeky! I just love the attitude!" and Peggy's mom replied, "She’s a proper diva LOL!"

Do English Bulldogs Make Good Family Pets?

If you're like me, you probably think that you now want an English Bulldog after watching how cute Peggy is, so let's talk more about the breed. Most people agree that these dogs are adorable; but just because a dog is cute doesn't mean it will be a good fit with your family. That's why it's so important to do research before purchasing or adopting a particular dog breed to learn the good, the bad, and the ugly about the dog you're considering making a part of your family.

English bulldogs are not highly active dogs. If you're an active family looking for a furry friend to take along on your outings, an English Bulldog might not make the best pet for you since that as adults, they spend at least half the day sleeping. They are pretty lazy dogs that can be playing and running around one minute, then snoring the next minute...literally.

These dogs can be a very expensive breed to own because of their health problems. Their skin and wrinkles make grooming a constant, and often lead to food allergies, which can be costly. Did I mention they snore (and pass gas) often and loudly?

On the flip side, they're big goofballs! They are known for their goofy personalities, and as you could see in Peggy's video, they can provide hours of endless entertainment. Bulldogs love their humans and are a very loyal breed that can be great watch dogs that will bark and let you know when people are coming. They're great with children and other animals and are very laid back and chill...they're the ultimate couch potatoes that will never turn down a nap. They aren't known to be barkers, but they are chatty, and they will let you know when they want something or don't like something!

English bulldogs are undeniably cute and have lots of pros and cons just like all dog breeds do. You just need to weigh them out and decide if this breed is the right fit for your family.
