Cynthia Nixon Wishes 'SATC' Costar Sarah Jessica Parker a Touching Happy Birthday in Heartfelt Message

They don't just play best friends on TV.

Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker have played an iconic friendship duo onscreen since the late '90s, but their everlasting friendship goes far beyond the camera.

Nixon, one of the OG actresses on Sex and the City, is looking back on all of her years with her longtime friend and costar in honor of Parker's 58th birthday on Saturday, March 25.

Nixon, 56, took to Instagram on Parker's big day to send a sweet birthday message and share a throwback photo that perfectly represents their many years acting on-screen beside one another.

The Ratched star began her post with lyrics from a popular song about long-lasting friendship that goes, "Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, the other is gold. A circle is round, it has no end. That's how long, I will be your friend."

"Happy birthday to my old friend @sarahjessicaparker," Nixon wrote in her caption, alongside a snapshot of the two women walking down the streets of New York as their famous characters, Miranda Hobbes and Carrie Bradshaw, are often seen doing in the HBO series, as well as the spinoff And Just Like That....

"So glad to still be walking next to you after all this time," she added, prompting some of the SATC fans in the comments needing to reach for the tissues.

"🥺🥺❤️ Carrie & Miranda forever ❤️," one sentimental fan commented, while Parker herself was among the accounts who double-tapped the sweet post.

"Such a beautiful tribute!! Love y’all’s friendship. ❤️✨ Happy Birthday Queen SJP!! 💖🎂🎁✨💫💅👠," another person wrote, while someone else chimed in to simply call the gal-pals "iconic friends."

Nixon and Parker now both star in the HBO Max reboot series, alongside fellow costar Kristin Davis (Charlotte York). The fourth leading lady from the original series, Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones) notably passed on the opportunity to reprise her role.

An official premiere date has not yet been publicly revealed for And Just Like That... Season 2, although it is expected to release sometime in Summer 2023.
