My curls have been looking a little lackluster lately, and it's probably because I've been neglecting them. (I haven't done a deep conditioning mask in... ages, and I've been rushing through my styling routine.) So I took plenty notice when Innersense's Curl Memory gel helped get my hair out of a literal dry spell.

Multiple stylists have told me it's best to apply styling products while your hair is wet, ideally sopping, so, as soon as I get out of the shower, I'll pump the product into my hands and rake it through medium-sized sections of my hair, making sure each bunch of curls and coils is covered. If I have time and want extra definition, I'll twist each section and blow dry it until it's semi-dry; then, I'll untwist, use a diffuser to finish drying and top everything off with a light coating of oil.

The first time I used the Curl Memory gel (which wields moisturizing ingredients like glycerin, aloe and bamboo), I was amazed by how shiny, smooth and defined my curls looked. And the hold lasts for almost a week (other creams I use tend to only last a few days) – imagine: having fresh, day-one curls for five days. It makes me excited for all the new looks I'll play with this summer.
