Crystal Mountain, WA Reopening For Bonus Weekend
Crystal Mountain, Washington, has extended its ski season again. After closing this week, the resort will reopen on May 4th and 5th for a final weekend of skiing and riding.
Crystal plans to spin two lifts: the Mt. Rainier Gondola and the Green Valley chair. Rainier Express, or REX for short, won't be open. The open lifts will spin from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days, and lift tickets cost $69.
On Instagram, the resort credited the bonus week to "late-season snowfall and the hard work of our mountain operations team."
More snow is expected today and tonight, with the risk of rain creeping in later this week at Crystal.
Some seasons, the resort remains open into the summer. In 2022, Crystal offered skiing and riding through June 12th.
This season's May extension positions Crystal as the last major ski resort standing in Western Washington, beating out stalwarts like the Summit, Stevens Pass, and Mt. Baker.
