  • Netflix released the first teaser trailer for the fourth season of The Crown, set to debut on November 15.

  • The footage includes a first look at actress Emma Corrin playing Princess Diana during iconic moments of her royal life, including her tour of Australia and wedding to Prince Charles.

Finally, we have our first official footage of Princess Diana in The Crown.

Netflix released the first teaser for the show's fourth season, which debuts November 15, including clips of actress Emma Corrin's portrayal of the late princess. The preview never shows a complete shot of Diana's face, but it does flash to iconic moments of her life, including her 1983 royal tour of Australia (you know the pink polka dot dress) and her 1981 royal wedding to Prince Charles.

For the latter, the final scene of the preview shows Diana from behind in her wedding dress, ready to walk down the aisle. The Crown's version of the nuptial ensemble is an impressive replica of the real-life original, which was designed by David and Elizabeth Emmanuel and paired with a 153-yard veil.

Corrin was announced to play Diana in April 2019, and she graciously responded to the news.

"I have been glued to the show and to think I'm now joining this incredibly talented acting family is surreal," she said in a statement at the time. "Princess Diana was an icon and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To explore her through Peter Morgan's writing is the most exceptional opportunity and I will strive to do her justice!"

Her co-star Josh O'Connor, who plays Prince Charles on The Crown, praised Corrin for her accurate portrayal of the late princess. "Emma’s doing a brilliant job, and it’s breathtakingly accurate; she looked the spitting image [of Diana], and it’s kind of extraordinary," he told BAZAAR.com last year. "So that’s kind of spooky."

Corrin won't return for another season, however. In The Crown's final two installments, Princess Diana will be played by Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki, Netflix just announced.
