From Town & Country

Sunday night was, admittedly, going pretty well for Olivia Colman. She'd taken home the BAFTA for Best Actress, and delivered an extremely sweet-if unexpectedly honest-acceptance speech. ("We're having an amazing night, aren't we? We're gonna get so pissed later!") And then, to cap it all off, she was congratulated by none other than the future king and queen of England.

The photos are precious, and reveal a genuine mutual admiration. Kate Middleton was extremely excited to meet Colman, and Colman equally excited to meet Kate. We don't know what they discussed, but we imagine that Colman's award-winning role in The Favourite, as well as her upcoming turn as Queen Elizabeth in The Crown, must've come up.

Colman also had the chance to meet Prince William, and judging by her genuine smile, she enjoyed that exchange as well.

Kate then took the time to congratulate Colman's The Favourite co-star, Rachel Weisz. (Weisz took home the Best Supporting Actress BAFTA for her role, leading the film to sweep the Best Actress categories.) Kensington Palace posted a short video on Twitter of Weisz and Kate in the middle of a spirited conversation.

Claire Foy, Olivia Colman's predecessor in The Crown, was also in attendance-and though she may not have had a real meeting with the royals, she still managed to be starstruck by their presence. Foy was standing next to the aisle as Kate and Prince William arrived to take their seats, and well, her face says it all.
